Project aim: The aim of the project is to develop an application that will use virtual reality to teach foreign languages and will aid in conducting experimental research. The application will be used with VR glasses. The effect of the project will be developed through industrial research and development works. During the research phase application will be used as a platform for experimental research on a new method of teaching. The results of the project will be implemented in the business of an applicant who will be selling the application as a set with VR headset.
Project description: We are working on a new software for learning foreign languages. It will be available for mobile devices with special VR glasses which we will develop after the research phase. The user will learn the language in a virtual world with its own narrative, set of characters and locations. It will give an opportunity to experience real life use of the language and allow interaction with the characters. The VR glasses will have a set of sensors that will adjust teaching method/speed to the actual state of the user. According to our research results we will provide a personalized and adjustable teaching plan to allow our users to learn efficiently.
